The “retablo” (ornamental religious dioramas) from one of the best artisans in Ayacucho, Edwin Pizarro’s workshop Ayacucho, Peru. This magnificent art work, has 3 “floors”: the first lower floor shows bull fights scenarios. In the middle one is the representation of a farewell and in the upper part has been represented the May 3rd – “Fiesta de Cruces”.
“Retablos” are a sophisticated Andean folk art in the form of portable boxes, which depict religious, historical, or everyday events that are important to the Indigenous people of the highlands of Peru. Very colourful, and a very good decoration on your table.
